And I’m probably not allowed to share them, but oh my, did I see some things.
I saw many things.
I went to look at a property today for work. We knew it was once a garage and was built between 1900-1950 so I was expecting a mess when I walked in. Oh, there was no mess. No mess at all. Just a glorious “man-cave” of beautiful cars and memorabilia in a spotlessly restored garage with a plethora (and I do mean a plethora) of vintage bathrooms.
This was quite possibly the best 2 hours of work I’ve ever spent. Besides the dead rabbits in the basement of the adjacent building, anyway .

I remember seeing Dodge Daytonas and Plymouth Superbirds when they were just cars parked on the street. They were never common everywhere , but they were out there, aerodynamic snout, three foot tall wing and all, pretty awesome to an adolescent, car crazy kid.
Sounds like a great day. It is amazing what there is out there stashed away in unexpected places. We have a pretty amazing collection in town that the owner won't allow to be photographed too.

Yeah, this was pretty neat. There was a woman working there who was sort of a curator (among other duties) and she was really happy to talk about the cars and show me stuff, let me wander around for way longer than I needed and take 80-gazillion photos. I’m just not sure what I can share since I’m so far down the totem pole and there are a lot of big companies above me who could ruin my life if the owner saw and was offended. Like so far down that I don’t even know who the owner of the cars is!! But I could have happily lived my entire life in this building.

Hemi or 440 Superbird? This is important!

I think it’s a 440.

I’m far more partial to the smells of spilled coolant and stale gasoline.

Dang, it’s the less rare, less powerful, but more reliable of the two engines! Anyway, lucky you for getting to see so many rare machines!
